About Me

You can call me Chris. I use he/him pronouns.

I am an interdisciplinary Earth system scientist interested in the social and economic impacts of climate change. My work brings together methods from physical climate science and the quantitative social sciences to understand the relationship between extreme climate events and outcomes such as human health and economic growth.

I am an assistant professor at the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. Our new research group, the IU Climate & Society Lab, is now open! Reach out if you are a prospective PhD student or postdoc, or just want to discuss collaborations!

I was previously a postdoc at Stanford University, working with Noah Diffenbaugh and Marshall Burke. In 2023, I received my PhD from Dartmouth College, working with the Climate Modeling and Impacts Group.
